RDDT Laboratories, a trading division of RMIT Drug Discovery Technologies Pty Ltd is a privately owned GLP compliant preclinical safety and bioanalytical testing company based in Melbourne, Australia.
Since being awarded its GLP accreditation in 2002, RDDT Laboratories’ is equipped to execute a range of toxicology studies (including genotoxicity, acute to chronic repeat dose studies etc) in various mammalian species in accordance to the appropriate regulatory standards. In addition, custom efficacy studies can be validated and performed to meet the clients’ needs. RDDT Laboratories also works closely with a number of partner CROs to provide services in non-mammalian species.
RDDT Laboratories ensures excellent regulatory compliance based on OECD ICH Guidelines in order to deliver the highest quality data to assist clients with their FDA, TGA and other regulatory submissions. RDDT Laboratories’ quality system adheres to OECD and US FDA 21CFR Part 58 GLP requirements.

Bioanalytical Services
RDDT Laboratories’ highly trained staff use an API 4000 Q Trap LC/MS/MS to develop quantitative, validated methods for traditional, small-molecule therapeutics as well as novel biotechnology derived macromolecules. These methods are either developed de novo or implemented from existing procedure.
Pharmacokinetics and toxicokinetics
Pharmacokinetic parameters of the test substance can be determined in both single dose pharmacokinetic studies and repeat dose toxicokinetic studies.
Custom Studies
RDDT Laboratories offers custom efficacy studies which can be validated and performed to meet the client’s needs. Working closely with numerous CRO partners, RDDT Laboratories are able to develop and optimize translational efficacy models which are validated with endpoints that are appropriate to our partners’ clinical development plans.
Histology Services
RDDT Laboratories can deliver affordable histology service of the utmost quality. Services include specimen handling, tissue cut-up tissue preparation, embedding, sectioning, haematoxylin and eosin slide preparation and microscopic examination of slides performed by US board certified vert pathologist. Vitamin D Assay Services
Inaccuracy is something of the past, when dealing with determining Vitamin D metabolites concentrations, using the API 4000 Q Trap LC/MS/MS. With specificity and sensitivity already an advantage, the LC/MS/MS will determine both concentrations of 25-OH Vitamin D2 and 25- OH Vitamin D3 simultaneously, in contrast to other methods used that will only calculate the total Vitamin D concentration. RDDT Laboratories will provide you with fast turn around times and competitive prices for all your Vitamin D testing needs.
