Replikun Biotech is focused on the development and commercialisation of novel vaccines and immunotherapies to combat infectious disease and cancer.
Replikun's Kunjin replicon technology enables two new generations of product for exciting, growing markets: preventative vaccines for intractable infections and therapeutic vaccines against infectious diseases and cancer.
The Kunjin replicon builds persistent vaccines that fight against immune evasion - the sophisticated processes by which viruses, bacteria and cancer cells disguise their presence and hide from the immune system. No other vaccine technology in development possesses the same mix of potency, safety and longevity.
Replikun's Kunjin replicon vector technology is ideally suited for the development of a wide range of vaccine, gene therapy and recombinant protein products. Kunjin replicon vectors are based on the Kunjin virus genome. Genes for Kunjin structural proteins have been removed from the vector, and may be replaced by a therapeutic gene of interest.
Replikun's HIV vaccine, RPK-8129, has shown efficacy in pre-clinical animal testing. RPK-739 is a immunotherapy product that assists the immune system to fight cancer. In preclinical studies, RPK-739 has demonstrated promising anti-tumour activity in several murine tumour models.
