Overview
Plasvacc is a manufacturer of innovative, scientifically developed and proven antibody and transfusion medicine therapies for the treatment of animals.
Plasvacc harnesses the advantages afforded by Australia's clean, green disease-free status to produce plasma-based antibody therapies for animals which can be marketed to the world. Such therapies enjoy the significant advantage that no withholding period is necessary, because plasma is a completely natural product.
Unlike antibiotics, to which bacteria frequently develop resistance, correctly crafted antibodies know no resistance. Plasvacc can induce its plasma donor animals to produce antibodies to any disease by simply tailoring the vaccines used on these donors.
In addition, Plasvacc plasma products provide complete assurance to veterinarians using them on their patients, because all of Plasvacc's products are registered with the appropriate Federal Regulatory bodies. A requirement of these regulatory approvals is that Plasvacc is licensed for Good Manufacturing Practice. Plasvacc has been licensed for GMP with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority since 1997 and Therapeutic Goods Administration since 2003.
Plasvacc sells its plasma products into Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, and has plans to register products in the EU including the UK, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan.
