AusBiotech and Tenmile announce strategic partnership

AusBiotech and Tenmile have announced a strategic partnership to support Australia's homegrown life sciences innovation.

Announced by AusBiotech CEO Rebekah Cassidy and Dr Steve Burnell, Managing Director of Tenmile, in the opening address of AusMedtech Day Two, the partnership is built on creating the right connections between capital, founders, clinicians, and institutions that translate world-class Australian science into treatments that reach patients.

There is no shortage of talented researchers, ambitious founders, and breakthroughs in Australia, but too many stall before they find the capital, the partnerships, and the pathways to market they need.

At the heart of the partnership is a shared commitment to ensuring that world-class Australian science has the commercial pathways, investor relationships and industry connections to move from lab to the patients who need it most, both here and globally.

Dr Steve Burnell, CEO of Tenmile said: “Partnerships are in Tenmile’s DNA and it's an important part of our mandate to support and build the broader commercialisation ecosystem that Australian health innovation needs. Our collaboration with AusBiotech is built around creating more of those connections, especially around key areas like anti-microbial resistance, cancer, AI, women's health and health equity. As part of the partnership, Tenmile's Focal Point and Healthtech Muster will both feature in Australia's Biggest Week in Biotech, with further initiatives planned across 2026.
